Licence
Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0) Assets: Code, art and audio all ship under the repository licence, MPL-2.0, whose section 2.1 grants the right to "use, reproduce, make available, modify, display, perform, distribute, and otherwise exploit" each contribution "either on an unmodified basis, with Modifications, or as part of a Larger Work". The 86 FLAC files in audio/ were committed to the author's own repository by the project's community (contributed by GitHub user @orsi through pull requests 664 and 667, merged 2020-09-10) and no per-file, per-directory or third-party licence notice exists anywhere in the pinned tree, so they are covered by the repository licence. The one thing that cannot be proved from the repository is that no placeholder sample survives in the merged set: the same contributor described his first prototype loops as placeholders before stating he had composed the shipped material. No third party is named anywhere in the tree; the full check (all 86 files, every licence, copyright and credit mention, and the FLAC metadata) is in docs/games/a-dark-room.md. img/ (the ADR icon, the logo and five browser logos used by browserWarning.html) was committed the same way. No font ships with this game: the tree contains no font files and no @font-face rule. Bundled libraries: lib/jquery.min.js is jQuery 1.10.1 under the MIT licence ("(c) 2005, 2013 jQuery Foundation, Inc. | jquery.org/license") and is byte-identical to the copy the game previously fetched from ajax.googleapis.com (md5 2c348a8a373a2e0dc0f8d9cf2c87dfe1); lib/jquery.color-2.1.2.min.js is jQuery Color 2.1.2 under the same licence; lib/jquery.event.move.js (1.3.1) and lib/jquery.event.swipe.js (0.5) are Stephen Band's MIT-licensed plugins and lib/base64.js is the webtoolkit.info Base64 helper, and those three carry no in-file licence statement of their own. All are redistributed byte for byte and none is modified. The sound was contributed by the project's community and ships under the repository's MPL-2.0 grant, with no separate notice of its own. MPL-2.0 is a file-level copyleft: redistributing the game unmodified is unaffected, but two files were modified for hosting and therefore stay under MPL-2.0. They are index.html (the jQuery CDN script tag and its document.write fallback replaced by the vendored lib/jquery.min.js, and the Google Analytics gtag.js block removed) and mobileWarning.html (its two app-store badges were loaded from http://i.imgur.com and are now plain links, so no page fetches an off-origin resource). public/games-runtime/a-dark-room/ATTRIBUTION.md records that list, as the licence requires, and carries the full licence text verbatim next to it in LICENSE.md. Nothing else was touched: no file was minified, deobfuscated, reformatted or restructured, no source header or credit line was edited, and all 26 locales under lang/ ship complete with upstream's own langs.js.

About A Dark Room

A cold room with one button: light the fire. The fire brings a builder, the builder brings a village, and the village needs wood, traps, hunters and a rucksack before anyone can walk out onto the world map. Beyond it are mines, ruined cities, a crashed starship and a way off the planet.
