public/games-runtime/micropolisjs/LICENSE(GPL-3.0-only) Assets: The tilesheets in images/ and the sprite frames in sprites/ come from the Micropolis source release that upstream adapted, so they travel under the same GPL-3.0 grant as the code. The bundled typeface css/chunk.woff is Meredith Mandel's "Chunk", under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, with its own notice at css/FONT_LICENSE.markdown. The Google Fonts webfont that css/style.css used to import was dropped at packaging because no licence for Open Sans ships anywhere in the repository; every rule that named it falls back to plain sans-serif. The GPL-3.0 section 7 additional terms reserve the SimCity and Electronic Arts marks, require modified versions to be marked as such, and require any conveyance to include the copyright notice and those terms. LICENSE and COPYING therefore ship verbatim in the runtime directory. Because the game is distributed under the name Micropolis, the Micropolis Public Name License (version 1, 2024-10-01) also applies and must be complied with; the name is kept exactly as upstream spells it, the port is not renamed, and the trademark attribution it asks for is in the game footer, on name_license.html and in ATTRIBUTION.md, each linking to micropolis.com. Bytelane ships this as a separate, unmodified work: its source is published by the author at the pinned commit, and the portal's own code is not a derivative of it.
About micropolisJS
Zone land for homes, shops and industry, wire it to a power grid, then set the tax rate and watch the budget year by year. Water, forest, crime, pollution, traffic jams and the occasional monster all push back as the city grows. micropolisJS is a hand-written JavaScript port of Micropolis, the open-source release of the 1989 city simulator.
Provenance and licence
Made by Graeme McCutcheon,

Released under the GNU General Public License v3.0, with additional terms under section 7 (GPL-3.0-only).

The copy served here is the upstream source unmodified except for the packaging needed to run it from a static folder. Every game's licence, commit and any recorded change is listed on the credits page.
