- BSD 3-Clause License (BSD-3-Clause) Assets: The two sprite sheets the canvas draws from and the two error icons index.css requests are Chromium's own artwork from the offline error page, and the three sound cues (press, hit, reached) are Chromium's Ogg Vorbis files embedded as base64 data URIs in index.html. index.js carries Chromium's notice, "Copyright (c) 2014 The Chromium Authors. All rights reserved. Use of this source code is governed by a BSD-style license that can be found in the LICENSE file.", and index.css the same for 2013, so the artwork and audio ship under the same BSD-style terms as the game code rather than under a separate licence. No font, image or audio file is fetched from a third party at runtime. Upstream is wayou's extraction of the Chromium offline runner (index.js: "extract from chromium source code by @liuwayong"), and its LICENSE file is an unmodified BSD 3-Clause License, "Copyright (c) 2022, 牛さん", which permits redistribution and modification provided the copyright notice, the conditions and the disclaimer travel with the code. It is vendored verbatim at /games-runtime/t-rex-runner/LICENSE. The original game and the code it is extracted from are Apache-2.0/BSD-licensed Google work with the Chromium notice shown above. Hosting changes are limited to one removed Google Fonts link, a data-URI favicon and one CSS rule that hides the start heading once the run begins; see /games-runtime/t-rex-runner/ATTRIBUTION.md and docs/games/t-rex-runner.md.
About T-Rex Runner
The dinosaur from Chrome's offline error page, extracted by wayou into a page that runs on its own. Space or the up arrow jumps the cacti, the down arrow ducks under pterodactyls, and the ground scrolls faster the longer you stay alive. Hit anything and the run ends at the distance you reached.
